Unfortunately, with macOS Big Sur a new widget functionality was introduced that does not came with support for older widgets. This feature is available for macOS Catalina and below. Enable the Widget on the Notification Center You can configure the keys for the shortcut in the preferences. By using the shortcut again, Silico will hide itself from the Touch Bar. To activate the Touch Bar display of Silicio, use the shortcut for Show/hide miniplayer. A finger’s touch starts and stops the music player. Swipe right to jump to the next song, swipe left to go to the previous one. Moreover, it shows the currently played song with album art on a gesture enabled area. Silicio lets you control your music from the Touch Bar of your MacBook Pro. The latter will automatically switch to the music player that’s active. Select either Music, iTunes, Vox, Spotify or Automatic.Open the Source menu of the Silicio app.Additionally, you can select a music player by hand: Silicio detects the song you hear automatically, this is useful if several music players are open.

You need to restart Silicio for changes to take effect. Open the System Preferences and go to Security -> Privacy -> Automation and switch on all the music apps you want to use. Starting with macOS Mojave, you need to allow access to your music apps.
